This classic  shaped vase, was inspired by the French vases of the 18th century which were highly detailed and decorated. My process invovled parring the detail  back to a relatively simple design, highlighting handle and rim decoration. I have used an uncoloured crackle glaze to add a muted detail to the body without drawing attention away from the form. The flared base provides excellent stability for a functioning vase, whilst retaining elegance. These are sturdy vases which hold heavy stems well.
The hand built nature of this vase means that it is unique, with individual detail. No two will be the same.
